Small Stickers, Big Personality: A Guide to Custom Die Cut Stickers
Whether it is a business logo, a club design or artwork you have created yourself, a sticker gives your idea somewhere new to be seen. Getting a great result starts with a few simple choices: a clear design, the right size and a little thought about where it will be used.
At Stickerrific by AJS Detailing, we make custom die cut stickers shaped around your artwork. If you are thinking about ordering your first batch, here is what is worth knowing before you begin.
What does die cut actually mean?
Rather than fitting every design inside a standard square or circle, a die cut sticker follows the outline of the artwork. That could be the shape of your logo, bold lettering or an illustration.
The outline becomes part of the finished design. A simple silhouette can look striking, while a more detailed design needs enough space for its smaller features to remain clear. It helps to think about the sticker as a whole, not just the picture in the middle.
Choose your size around the design
A design that looks brilliant across a computer screen can become difficult to read when reduced to sticker size. Small lettering, detailed backgrounds and several lines of contact information can all compete for attention.
Before deciding on a size, measure the space where you intend to use the sticker. Then view or print your design at approximately that size. Can you read the important wording comfortably? Does the main image still stand out?
For designs with more detail, giving the artwork extra room can be more effective than squeezing everything into a smaller space. If you are unsure, tell us the size you have in mind and send your artwork so we can help you work through the options.
Clear artwork makes a difference
The best starting point is your original artwork or the clearest version of your logo you have available. Screenshots and images saved repeatedly from social media can lose detail, and enlarging a blurry picture does not restore it.
Keep the main message easy to spot. Strong contrast between lettering and its background helps, and removing unnecessary detail often makes a design feel more confident rather than less interesting.
Before sending your file, check names, spelling, phone numbers and social account details carefully. If your design includes someone else’s logo, illustration or photograph, make sure you have permission to use it.
Not sure whether your file is suitable? Ask us before ordering. Free design assistance is available to help prepare your artwork.
A glossy laminated finish

Our custom stickers have a gloss laminated finish, with waterproof and UV resistant protection. The laminate adds a protective layer over the printed design and gives the finished sticker its glossy appearance.
However, waterproof does not mean suitable for every surface or every cleaning method. Tell us where you plan to use your stickers if you need advice about a particular application. We offer die cut stickers, not cup transfers or stickers for cups.

Why is the minimum order 50 stickers?
Each custom design takes time to prepare for printing and cutting. Our minimum order is 50 stickers because that preparation is still needed even for a smaller batch.
The range includes packs from 50 to 500 stickers. Think about how many you need now and whether you will want more of the same design later. Check the current size and quantity options on the product page before choosing your pack.
Make ordering feel simple
Start by telling us what size and quantity you have in mind, what the stickers are for and whether you already have a design. If you do, send it over. If you need help preparing it, let us know what you would like to achieve.
Once your artwork and requirements are agreed, select the appropriate product options, upload the agreed artwork and check the selected price before adding your stickers to the basket.
A good custom sticker should feel like your design, not a compromise. A little preparation helps keep the important details clear and makes the ordering process much easier.
